Position Summary
Build and test hydraulic equipment under the direction of the engineering staff. Have strong working knowledge of hydraulic testing circuits.
Scope/Supervision & Interaction
Communicate and work with engineering while reporting to Lab Manager
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILIES:
- Review project instructions and drawings to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problem and possible solutions.
- Understand and be able to troubleshoot a working hydraulic circuit.
- Set up test units and instrumentation and responsibility monitor test performance.
- Build and test pumps, motors, valves and other hydraulic components.
- Build POC (Proof of Concept) machines / Sub-assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Accurately use all lab measuring equipment.
- Analyze test results and write reports with recommendations on appropriate action.
- Provide engineering advice and assistance to other departments as needed.
- Provide excellent service for and maintain communications with internal/external customers at all times. Promote the culture of Leand and strive for continuous improvement.
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Work well without direct supervision
- Previous lab technician experience is preferred
- Physical position that requires lifting and moving of heavy components and equipment
